What happens at Grandma's house....

stays at Grandma's house :)

Larry told my mom to fatten Aidan up while he was living here. She is trying her best to do just that! This kid has been living off ice cream and juice boxes since he got here. He's even been getting ice cream for breakfast!

Here he is with Publix cupcake icing all over his face and a cookie in his hand earlier today, lol...

Fun in the Pool

Aidan's been getting into my parents' pool just about everyday. He mainly hangs out on the first step and splashes around like he's doing in the second pic. He was such a little water baby in Cayman, but it's been about a year since he's been swimming because we didn't spend much time around water in New York. He starts swim lessons on May 5! I'm so excited!

My beautiful boy

Just had to share these of Connor. He is such a little sweetie :)

Dad's 52nd Birthday

My dad's 52nd birthday was April 21. We had a little cookout for him with some cake last Sunday. Here are a few pics from the evening. Aidan was so happy that he got to blow out the candles :)

Connor's first rice cereal

Connor had his first try with rice cereal today. We started him a little earlier than we normally would have due to his Acid Reflux. The rice cereal supposedly helps with it. He did quite well considering he still has that tongue-thrust reflex thing going on. I mixed about a tablespoon worth of cereal, and he ate about half. He really seemed to like it. These pictures were also taken with the Canon 30D.

P.S. We are back in Jacksonville!

Digital SLR pics

I've been bitten by the digital SLR camera bug! I took these with my dad's Canon EOS 30D and i'm hooked! What a difference between an SLR and a point and shoot :)

I took these just messing around...I don't know how to use this camera properly yet. I've ordered the Canon Rebel XTi and it should be coming in the mail in the next week or so. I can't wait! This summer I am making it my goal to learn how to take decent pictures!

"What do you do with a scurvy pirate?"

Make him walk the plank!

Aidan had an eye doctor appointment today and the Dr. decided she wanted to try patching. His vision in his right eye with his glasses ON is 20/30. It should be 20/20 with the glasses on so she wants him the wear a patch for one hour each day until he follows up with his new Pediatric Opthamologist in Jacksonville, in about a month. So Larry and I made a big deal about how cool he looks as a "pirate" to convince him to leave his eye patch on. Let's hope the patching works and we are not headed for surgery :-(

The baby gym and tummy time

Larry was on call yesterday from 9am-9pm so I spent the day trying to get some good pictures of Connor. I have been slacking in the picture department with him. By the time Aidan was this age we had probably 10,000 pictures of him. Connor loves to lay in his baby gym and play with the toys. Here are a few of him from yesterday playing and having his tummy time.

"big boy" underwear

We are working on the potty-training. I have a feeling it's going to be a long process. We are trying the "cold-turkey" route and skipping pull-ups altogether. Hopefully this won't get too messy ;-)

Car ride in Connecticut

Last Saturday we decided to do a little sightseeing around Connecticut since we are moving soon. It started off as just a drive around Greenwich, then we decided to drive along the coast. We wanted to make it to Providence, Rhode Island, but Aidan woke up in a bad mood from his car seat nap so we decided we should head back home. Greenwich is exactly as I imagined it...beautiful colonial style homes. The whole town looks like something out of a movie or storybook.

Here is Aidan already asleep before we are even out of NYC. We were driving through the Bronx on I-95.

Thomas the Train and the boys

Just a few from yesterday of Aidan, Connor, and Larry playing with the train set. They moved it to the floor and Connor was able to be right in the middle of everything...just where he likes to be! Connor is sitting so well in his Bumbo seat now. He is also laughing, cooing, and smiling like crazy! I love this age!

P.S. You will have to pause the background blog music at the bottom of the page to hear the video.
