I didn't want to share the news until we were certain, but it's nearly a done deal now...we are moving to Wilmington, North Carolina! Larry is working on an affiliation between New Hanover Regional Medical Center and St. Matthews, and it looks like he will be finishing up his 4th year electives there! We are really excited about living in Wilmington. It's only about 6 1/2 hours north of Jacksonville, 10 minutes from the beach, and a few hours from the Smoky Mountains! Yay!!

YMCA
Titusville has a really nice YMCA, with a great pool area for kids. We decided to apply for a scholarship to the Y, since we are BROKE until our next loan installment comes in. We got approved and we've been spending lots of time at the pool there! It's a nice break for Larry from his studies too. Aidan has met lots of other kids to play with, girls in particular, he he ;) Yesterday there was a girls' summer camp there and Aidan had about 5 cute little girls taking turns holding, hugging, and kissing him! Aidan, of course, was in heaven! These are from our first visit though...

Grandma and Grandpa Mason's
We're down in Titusville at Larry's parents' house for the next month. Here's a little of what we've been up to down here:
Aidan makes cupcakes with Grandma Mason...
Connor is ready to start crawling any day now...
Aidan got into the cupcakes....
Aidan, Larry, and Grandpa Mason fishing at the lake in their neighborhood...
Also, Larry is hitting the books pretty hard in preparation for his Step 2 exams. He'll be taking those within the next few weeks. I'll be so happy when those are behind him and he can enjoy the rest of the year....and squeeze in some quality time with us before residency starts :)

The pool that fell from the sky
A few days before we left for Titusville, I was talking to my mom about buying Aidan a little kiddie pool for his Grandma and Grandpa Mason's house. I was even looking online at Target, Wal-Mart, etc. After our conversation about buying Aidan the kiddie pool ended, I left to go run some errands. Aidan stayed home with my mom so I could pick up some of my belongings from my parents' beach condo. In typical Florida style, an afternoon storm was moving in, with some pretty strong gusts of wind coming through just before the storm started. My mom and Aidan were sitting in front of the window watching the wind blow when an actual kiddie pool FELL OUT OF THE SKY and landed in our driveway! NO JOKE!! Isn't that crazy??!! My mom made a few calls to some of their neighbors with kids, however the pool didn't belong to anyone in their neighborhood. So we kept it!
I brought the pool with us to Titusville, and after a thorough cleaning we filled it up with water and it was ready to go! Aidan loves the pool, and he loves telling the story about how the pool fell out of the sky, just for him! I guess that book, The Secret, really does have some truth to it!

Charleston trip
In my last post I mentioned that the boys and I have been super busy. Well one of the reasons for that was a trip to Charleston, South Carolina for a week. We actually stayed in Folly Beach, in a beautiful oceanfront beach house. Larry drove down from New York and stayed with us which was great! We drove into downtown Charleston almost everyday for some yummy seafood and sightseeing.

The Twilight Saga

I've been MIA from my blog, but I've been busy! I've had quite a few distractions over the past few weeks, and this saga by Stephenie Meyer is one of them! I've been obsessed with these books...Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. The fourth in the saga, Breaking Dawn, comes out August 2nd, and I am literally counting down the days! If you haven't read these books yet, go immediately to your nearest Barnes and Noble and pick up all 3 at the same time. Be careful though, you may find yourself daydreaming about a certain vampire character in the book ;)

Swim Lessons
Aidan started swim lessons last Tuesday. His lessons are given by a private instructor through ISR, or Infant Swim Resource. (www.infantswim.com) His instructor, Amy, is just wonderful, and I can't believe the progress he has made in just one week's worth of lessons. The first few lessons he screamed his head off, but by the 5th lesson he was doing awesome! The lessons are 10 minutes a day for 4-6 weeks. They are only 10 minutes because ISR believes that they become too exhausted after 10 minutes, and the lesson is no longer beneficial. I would highly recommend ISR to any parent looking to put their child in swim lessons!!

Go Connor Go!!
This babe is ready to start scootin' soon! He can roll over to his side from his back now also. The side is now his preferred sleeping position too. Aidan slept on his side and tummy from a week old....Connor was a back sleeper until about a week ago :)

"Tooter Scooter"
My mom bought Aidan this scooter when we got back to Jacksonville. He kept calling it his "tooter scooter" and I had no idea where he got it from until I realized that's what Wubzy (Wow Wow Wubzy) calls his scooter! Too funny! He loves his red helmet too. Anyways, I took these to get some practice with my new Canon Rebel :)

What happens at Grandma's house....
stays at Grandma's house :)
Larry told my mom to fatten Aidan up while he was living here. She is trying her best to do just that! This kid has been living off ice cream and juice boxes since he got here. He's even been getting ice cream for breakfast!
Here he is with Publix cupcake icing all over his face and a cookie in his hand earlier today, lol...

Fun in the Pool
Aidan's been getting into my parents' pool just about everyday. He mainly hangs out on the first step and splashes around like he's doing in the second pic. He was such a little water baby in Cayman, but it's been about a year since he's been swimming because we didn't spend much time around water in New York. He starts swim lessons on May 5! I'm so excited!

Dad's 52nd Birthday
My dad's 52nd birthday was April 21. We had a little cookout for him with some cake last Sunday. Here are a few pics from the evening. Aidan was so happy that he got to blow out the candles :)

Connor's first rice cereal
Connor had his first try with rice cereal today. We started him a little earlier than we normally would have due to his Acid Reflux. The rice cereal supposedly helps with it. He did quite well considering he still has that tongue-thrust reflex thing going on. I mixed about a tablespoon worth of cereal, and he ate about half. He really seemed to like it. These pictures were also taken with the Canon 30D.
P.S. We are back in Jacksonville!

Digital SLR pics
I've been bitten by the digital SLR camera bug! I took these with my dad's Canon EOS 30D and i'm hooked! What a difference between an SLR and a point and shoot :)
I took these just messing around...I don't know how to use this camera properly yet. I've ordered the Canon Rebel XTi and it should be coming in the mail in the next week or so. I can't wait! This summer I am making it my goal to learn how to take decent pictures!
