We spent the day in the City yesterday. We had lunch in Greenwich Village at a Mexican restaurant called "Panchito's" and then headed uptown to the Manhattan Children's Museum so Aidan could have some fun. We ended the night in Times Square, then headed home to watch the last game of the 2007 World Series. Go Red Sox!!

Apple picking
Today we drove into New York state to go apple picking. Aidan loved picking apples. I think apples are his favorite food! We picked 10 pounds worth!! When we got home we decided to make our first homemade apple pie with some of the apples we picked. It took Larry and I an hour and a half to make the pie (we made it from scratch) but it turned out delicious!

We spent the day out in Long Island yesterday for Aidan's friend Sam's birthday. After Sam's party, we went to a local pumpkin farm to let the boys play on the pumpkins. The farm was really cool and they had farm animals to look at, big wooden playhouses for the kids to play on, tons of pumpkins, and hayrides. Unfortunately we arrived too late to take a hayride, but the boys had so much fun doing other things they didn't even seem to care. The weather was chilly and it was a beautiful Fall day. I love this time of year!!

Pumpkin patch in Jacksonville
We took an impromptu road trip to Jacksonville last week, and while we were there we took Aidan to a local pumpkin patch. Aidan loved every minute of it! He kept calling the pumpkins "unkins." He got his very own "unkin" to take home with us. I wish it had been cooler weather though, because something about shorts and pumpkin patches just doesn't seem right!

Camping at Lake George
In July we went up to Lake George, New York for a weekend camping trip. Lake George is beautiful and the weather was great! While up there we visited Fort William Henry, which is the Fort from the movie, The Last of the Mohicans.
